Who is responsible

What we collect

If you use the chart page without an account, we process the birth details you enter — date, optionally time, and place — together with the coordinates and time zone we resolve from that place. They are kept in a first-party cookie on your own device for twelve hours and are not stored on our servers.

If you create an account, we store your email address and, if you save a chart, the same birth details in our database.

Birth details are stored exactly as you enter them: a local date and time plus a place. We never convert them to a single moment in universal time on the way in, because the correct conversion depends on historical daylight-saving rules that change, and freezing it would make later corrections impossible.

Why, and on what basis

We process birth details to calculate the chart you asked for. Without them there is nothing to calculate. The legal basis is performance of a contract with you, or your consent where no contract exists (Art. 6 (1)(b) and (a) GDPR).

We process your email address to sign you in and to contact you about the service. The legal basis is performance of a contract (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR).

What we do not do

We do not sell your data.

We do not send your birth place to any third-party geocoding service. Place lookup runs on our own servers against an embedded extract of the GeoNames database, so the place you were born is never disclosed to anyone else.

Your birth details appear in no server log and in no analytics event. This is enforced by an automated check that fails our build if those field names appear at a logging call site.

We run no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics.

Where your data is stored

Our database and authentication run on Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany (eu-central-1). Our calculation service runs on Fly.io in Frankfurt. Our website is served by Vercel.

Personal data is stored in the European Union.

How long we keep it

The anonymous chart cookie expires after twelve hours.

Account data is kept until you delete your account, after which it is removed together with everything derived from it.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to its processing (Art. 15–21 GDPR).

You can export everything we hold about you, and delete your account and all associated data, from your settings page. Both take effect immediately. You can also write to murat.dursun@t2soft.de.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Cookies

We set a cookie to remember the birth details you entered on the chart page, and a cookie to keep you signed in if you have an account. Both are strictly necessary for the functions you asked for. We set no advertising or analytics cookies.
